Thailand Science Park (TSP)
Thailand Science Park (TSP), the country’s first science and technology park established in 2002 with the aim to promote innovation development and R&D activities in the private sector. TSP is a key infrastructure built to support technology intensive businesses. In addition to advanced facilities and business space, TSP offers a full range of value-added services targeted at technology intensive companies.
The park, with 300,000 square meters of built-up space, is situated next to the Asian Institute of Technology, Thammasat University and the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology and houses NSTDA’s four national research centers, i.e. National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) and National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) as well as around 100 corporate R&D. This proximity provides the opportunity for corporate tenants to gain access to highly-skilled personnel including 2,000 full-time NSTDA researchers, of which around 700 are Ph.D. scientists. With proper innovation ecosystem, the park is now the largest fully-integrated research and development hub in Thailand.
